Questions regarding the iPA technology

1. What are the advantages of the iPA system over other methods of capital management existing today?
Answer:

Taking a classical model of capital management as the basis, we have added a number of innovations that allowed us to create the iPA system, which uses the opportunities of the financial markets to the fullest extent.

First of all, we changed our attitude towards Managers. We wanted to create an environment for fair and healthy competition, where any UBK Markets Customer would be able to apply his/her trading skills in the financial markets and receive decent remuneration at the same time. As a result, we have developed the concept of iPA-Manager — the concept of the next generation trader, whose income depends only on his/her own skills and ambitions. You do not have to risk your own funds or feel lack of interest from investors as the iPA-Manager account is non-nominal. From now on, your positive trading results, published in the Long List of iPA-Managers, determine everything: you can attract unlimited number of iPA-Investors that in its turn allows you to obtain a potentially unlimited remuneration.

Your iPA-Manager’s weekly income is generated as a part of profit received as a result of copying the trading signals you have created to an account of iPA-Investor, who has selected your trading strategy. Consequently, the more funds you manage, the higher your financial result is.

However, the key element of the iPA system includes special mathematical algorithms that are used to analyze trading signals created by iPA-Managers. Our iPA technology automatically analyses and, if it is necessary, modifies trading orders which are executed applying intelligent processing algorithms of iPA-Managers’ trading signals among which the algorithms of risk management are basic ones (Processed account) that influences positively the risk reduction and yield increase. According to statistics, at least 30% of accounts with low or negative profit can be considered as qualitative (profitable) when being processed by special algorithms and if iPA-Managers follow iPA trading rules available on the official Company website.

Thus, having combined the precise mechanism of trading orders analysis and optimal conditions for trading, we have created the innovative iPA technology of capital management — a key component of the iPA system whose efficiency has no analogues in the world.

2. What are the criteria to assess iPA-Manager’s trading activity that determine a position of iPA-Managers in the Long List?
Answer:

The iPA system has been developed based on high standards of the stability and profitability of its implementation in the financial markets. Taking into account that these features of the iPA system significantly depend on trading signals created by iPA-Managers, we have formed a large and comprehensive set of criteria to evaluate the overall trading activity of each trader.

According to this evaluation, using the Long List tools for sorting and filtering iPA-Managers’ trading strategies, you can determine the order in which the published trading results of iPA-Managers will be displayed in the Long List. Thus, each iPA-Investor, on the basis of his/her own criteria of efficiency, has the opportunity to find and select the best trading strategies of iPA-Managers in order to create a profitable Portfolio.

3. Can a trader have more than one iPA-Manager account?
Answer:

The policy of our Company foresees a healthy competitive environment among iPA-Managers. We want each iPA-Manager to have an opportunity to demonstrate his/her trading skills in the financial markets and to take part in remuneration distribution. Therefore, to avoid situations when our weekly remuneration is distributed only among some traders, who have several iPA-Manager accounts at the same time, we have decided that one trader can open only one iPA-Manager account.

4. How to become an iPA-Manager?
Answer:

To become an iPA-Manager, you should register “My Account” on the official UBK Markets website. Next, you should open one or several Classic Live accounts in “My Account” and start trading in iPro Marketplace trading and analytical platform. When conducting the first trading operation in the Classic Live account on the selected financial instrument, the system automatically initiates the process of the Practice Test completion. When trading performance reaches 100% on one of the traded financial instruments, this financial instrument is activated according to the Practice Test Terms and Conditions. Next, you should provide the iPA-Manager’s details (photo and nickname) to display them in the Long List of iPA-Managers. Once all specified conditions have been successfully fulfilled, the Company guarantees that the Customer will obtain the iPA-Manager status and the possibility to trade in the iPA-Manager account using the activated financial instruments.

5. What does an iPA-Manager non-nominal account mean?
Answer:

The features of an iPA-Manager non-nominal account are as follows:

  • No capital requirements are set. When executing trades in an iPA-Manager account, iPA-Managers do not use their own funds.
  • No margin requirements are set while performing trading operations in an iPA-Manager account, i.e., no deposit is required to execute trades with financial instruments.
  • No financial obligations arise when trading in an iPA-Manager account.
6. How does Processed work?
Answer:

When you open an iPA-Manager account, the system automatically generates two types of accounts:

  • Original (using original trading strategy of an iPA-Manager);
  • Processed (applying intelligent processing algorithms of the iPA technology).

Original account is designed for an iPA-Manager to create and transmit trading signals to an iPA-Investor account in their original form. Being processed by special algorithms of the iPA technology, trading signals are sent from Processed account to an iPA-Investor account.

The processing of trading signals is a technological process of analyzing and forecasting iPA-Manager’s activity with subsequent optimization of his/her trading results on the basis of the developed system classification. Evaluating iPA-Manager’s actions, the iPA technology algorithms generate a model of his/her behavior on each currency pair being traded. This model represents iPA-Manager’s actions as a finite sequence of elements. The optimal behavior of an iPA-Manager is modeled if a functional, which converts iPA-Manager’s actions into a certain behavioral pattern, has been found.

If the iPA-Manager’s trading activity is not consistent and predictable, i.e., there is no clear behavioral pattern, the iPA technology algorithms are not able to find a functional for its description and identification. When the iPA-Manager’s trading activity is systematic and predictable, a behavioral pattern is generated, and it is identified by the algorithms as a finite sequence of elements on each currency pair being traded. After that, the algorithms apply a required functional to this group and, if necessary, adjust the iPA-Manager’s trading signals.

7. How to improve an iPA-Manager’s trade quality?
Answer:

We have formulated general rules on how to improve trade quality. Following them, an iPA-Manager gets an opportunity not only to increase his/her Yield and Traderank indices that will attract iPA-Investors’ attention, but also to improve the overall financial result, and consequently to increase his/her remuneration:

  1. Trading should be consistent and predictable.
  2. Calculate holding time of a trading position in the market in such a way that you will earn more pips in less time.
  3. Do not duplicate trading strategies of other Managers.
  4. No trade series.
  5. iPA-Managers should close orders before the end of trading session (on Friday before 17:00 UTC).
  6. Close orders in time with optimal profit and avoid the price fall/rise towards a Stop Loss level set by the system automatically.

The rules should be considered as recommendations, but following them, an iPA-Manager can develop or adjust his/her strategy in such a way as to be able to significantly increase the remuneration amount.

An iPA-Manager can focus on the “iPA trade quality” indicator in iPro Marketplace trading and analytical platform to estimate whether a selected trading strategy is correct and also to adjust it according to the current market trend and his/her trading results.

8. How to activate trading instruments for the iPA-Manager account?
Answer:

The financial instrument is activated for the iPA-Manager account after the Customer fulfills the Practice Test conditions for the given financial instrument. To do this, you should start trading on the selected currency pair in the Classic Live account. Based on the results of the successful Practice Test completion and reaching 100% of progress, each financial instrument will be activated automatically.

9. Can an iPA-Manager execute trades in a Live account as well?
Answer:

The iPA-Manager status does not restrict Customers’ trading activity in any way. iPA-Managers may continue trading in any other types of accounts provided by UBK Markets.

10. How many iPA-Managers can be published in the Long List and how many of them receive remuneration?
Answer:

Our system imposes no restrictions on the number of iPA-Managers in the Long List, who participate in the weekly remuneration allocation. Whether or not an iPA-Manager is eligible for weekly remuneration as well as the amount of his/her remuneration is determined by his/her trading efficiency throughout the entire week and by the total capital of iPA-Investors, who have selected the iPA-Manager’s trading strategy.

Example: One of the iPA-Managers has very low trade quality indices. Nevertheless, during the last week, trade efficiency of this Manager was very high, and a lot of profitable trading orders based on his/her trading signals were executed involving an iPA-Investor’s capital. Good trading performance over a single week cannot significantly influence the indices of his/her trading performance evaluation, but he/she will get higher remuneration compared to other iPA-Managers, who demonstrated less efficient trading performance for this week.

We should also mention that while testing the iPA system, we often created situations when every iPA-Manager received remuneration based on his/her trading during the week. Of course, we have created such a situation intentionally, but there are no obstacles for remuneration distribution among 90% of all iPA-Managers or more.

11. What does the iPA-Investor account mean?
Answer:

The iPA-Investor account is a trading account, which is designed to provide automatic execution of trading orders using funds allocated by a Customer on the basis of trading signals given by iPA-Managers.

Creating the iPA-Investor account, a Customer selects a strategy of an iPA-Manager, i.e., determines a financial instrument and type of trading orders in the iPA-Manager account, trading signals on which will be automatically copied to his/her iPA-Investor account:

  • If the iPA-Investor has selected a financial instrument in the Original account, trading orders of an iPA-Manager are sent to the iPA-Investor account in the original form.
  • If the iPA-Investor has selected a financial instrument in the Processed account, an iPA-Manager’s trading orders are executed involving the iPA-Investor’s capital once they have been processed by the iPA technology algorithms.

The key features of the iPA-Investor account:

  • Trades execution in the iPA-Investor account is based only on automatic copying of trading signals created by an iPA-Manager.
  • Copying of iPA-Manager’s trading signals can be suspended or resumed at the iPA-Investor’s discretion, and trading signals can be inverted.
  • The leverage for the iPA-Investor account is not established but calculated automatically in a real-time mode according to trading conditions.
  • The iPA-Investor account is managed only through “My Account” section.
  • A part of profit received in the iPA-Investor account as a result of copying iPA-Manager’s trading orders is charged to pay remuneration in the amount determined by trading conditions.
  • The volume of funds intended for carrying out each following trading order in the iPA-Investor account based on an iPA-Manager’s trading signals is calculated considering the current balance of the iPA-Investor account, but not the amount of funds allocated.
12. How to select an iPA-Manager and subscribe to copying of his/her trading signals to my iPA-Investor account?
Answer:

When allocating funds in the iPA-Investor trading account on the basis of an overall assessment of an iPA-Manager’s trading activity available in the public Long List of iPA-Managers, the Customer selects a trading strategy defining a financial instrument and type of trading orders, which correspond to his/her financial interests. Once the iPA-Investor account has been successfully created and funds have been deposited, trading signals of the selected iPA-Manager are automatically copied to the iPA-Investor account.

The “iPA-Managers” section of “My Account” (“My iPA-Managers” page) allows an iPA-Investor to manage his/her accounts where he/she can:

  • Find information on the current status of all iPA-Investor’s accounts, including newly created accounts.
  • Find necessary tools to analyze iPA-Managers’ trading activity as well as suspend and resume copying of trading signals or invert them.
  • In each iPA-Investor’s account perform certain actions: make a deposit or withdrawal of funds as well as exclude the account from a Customer’s Portfolio.
13. How is the leverage size for iPA accounts determined and how does it affect the iPA-Investor’s income as well as iPA-Manager’s remuneration?
Answer:

The leverage is not available in an iPA-Manager account as no margin requirements are set in this type of account, i.e., no deposit is required to execute trades with financial instruments.

However, an iPA-Investor account is a trading account, which is designed to automatically execute trades involving funds deposited by an iPA-Investor on the basis of iPA-Managers’ trading signals. That is why the leverage is set for this type of account, and it is calculated on the basis of the total amount of funds managed by this iPA-Manager when trading in the iPA-Investor’s accounts for all transactions based on the iPA-Manager's trading signals.

The leverage size is determined according to the trading conditions for the iPA-Investor account:

Initial level for major financial instruments:

1:30 for accounts less than 10,000 USD.

For accounts from 10,000 USD to 300,000 USD, leverage is calculated by the formula:

Margin (max) / Balance *,

where Margin (max) — the maximum margin level set at the level of 300,000 units of the base currency,

Balance — the current total volume of funds under management.

* If the current volume of funds exceeds 300,000 USD, the Balance value is equal to the Margin (max) value when calculating the leverage, and correspondingly, the leverage is 1:1.

Initial level for additional financial instruments:

1:20 for accounts less than 10,000 USD.

For accounts from 10,000 USD to 200,000 USD, leverage is calculated by the formula:

Margin (max) / Balance *,

where Margin (max) — the maximum margin level set at the level of 200,000 units of the base currency,

Balance — the current total volume of funds under management.

* If the current volume of funds exceeds 200,000 USD, the Balance value is equal to the Margin (max) value when calculating the leverage, and correspondingly, the leverage is 1:1.

The iPA-Investor’s income and the iPA-Manager’s remuneration depend on the leverage size since the volume of each trade on each iPA-Investor account is calculated in the real-time mode and is determined on the basis of the current leverage size of the account.

Example 1: The balance of your iPA-Investor account subscribed to copying of the Manager’s trading signals on the EURUSD currency pair is 205 USD, and the current leverage size on this currency pair is 1:30.

Thus, the volume of positions being opened in your iPA-Investor account will be ≈ 0.03 lot.

Example 2: The balance of your iPA-Investor account subscribed to copying of the Manager’s trading signals on the EURUSD currency pair is 20,000 USD. According to the trading conditions, for accounts from 10,000 USD to 300,000 USD, leverage is calculated by the formula:

Margin (max) / Balance = 300,000 USD / 20,000 USD = 15

Thus, the leverage will be 1:15, and the volume of positions being opened in your iPA-Investor account will be ≈ 1.5 lots.

Example 3: The balance of your iPA-Investor account subscribed to copying of the Manager’s trading signals on the EURUSD currency pair is 600,000 USD. According to the trading conditions, for accounts exceeding 300,000 USD, the leverage is 1:1.

Thus, the volume of positions being opened in your iPA-Investor account will be ≈ 3 lots.

Each Manager can view information about the total volume of trades executed on the basis of his/her trading signals in iPA-Investors’ accounts in the account statement on the financial instrument of the iPA-Manager account.

14. How is trading volume (in lots) for an iPA-Manager account calculated?
Answer:

The change in the volume of positions being opened is made automatically and depends on the amount of all funds managed by an iPA-Manager on each financial instrument.

According to Terms and Conditions of iPA-Investor’s Activity, the trading volume, which is transferred to a counterparty for execution, on each iPA-Investor account is determined in the real-time mode on the basis of the current value of leverage and current value of equity (available funds) for an iPA-Investor account. The trading volume is calculated involving available funds in the balance of an iPA-Investor account.

15. How can the volume of a position being opened (in lots) change when changing the leverage?
Answer:

The trading volume is determined on the basis of the leverage calculated based on the total amount of funds managed by an iPA-Manager.

Example 1: The amount of funds managed by an iPA-Manager on the EURUSD currency pair constitutes 400 USD. Consequently, the current leverage size in the iPA-Investor account subscribed to copying of this Manager’s trading signals equals 1:30.

Therefore, the volume of closed positions will be ≈ 0.06 lot.

Example 2: The amount of funds managed by an iPA-Manager on the EURUSD currency pair constitutes 5,000 USD. Consequently, the current leverage size in the iPA-Investor account subscribed to copying of this Manager’s trading signals equals 1:30.

Therefore, the volume of closed positions will be ≈ 0.75 lot.

Example 3: The amount of funds managed by an iPA-Manager on the EURUSD currency pair constitutes 600 USD. Consequently, the current leverage size in the iPA-Investor account subscribed to copying of this Manager’s trading signals equals 1:30.

Therefore, the volume of closed positions will be ≈ 0.09 lot.

16. How is weekly remuneration for iPA-Managers calculated?
Answer:

An iPA-Manager’s income is generated as a part of positive profit received when executing trades involving an iPA-Investor’s capital. Thus, the more funds an iPA-Manager manages, the higher his/her financial result is.

An iPA-Manager’s weekly remuneration is calculated based on trading conditions.

17. What does Traderank show?
Answer:

Traderank is a statistical index characterizing trading activity of an iPA-Manager as a whole. The higher value Traderank shows, the more stable and more qualitative strategy an iPA-Manager has.

18. How do we assess an iPA-Manager’s trading activity on various financial instruments?
Answer:

When trading in the iPA-Manager account, our Customers build their own Traderank index separately for Original accounts (using an iPA-Manager’s original strategy) and for Processed accounts (applying special algorithms of intelligent processing of an iPA-Manager’s trading signals). At the same time, the Long List of iPA-Managers contains general Traderank value for all financial instruments of Original accounts and general Traderank value for all financial instruments of Processed accounts.

19. Are there any restrictions on the trading methods (e.g. automated trading strategies etc.)?
Answer:

Our Customers can use any method of trading available in the financial markets that is convenient for them.

The only limit we set for iPA-Managers is as follows: if during analysis of iPA-Managers’ trading performance we find out the duplication of trading strategy on one financial instrument in two or more iPA-Manager’s accounts, then the Traderank value on the specified financial instrument will be reduced. The lowering of the Traderank value will negatively affect a potential interest of iPA-Investors regarding this iPA-Manager.

20. What period of trading activity will be counted by the iPA system when determining my Traderank index?
Answer:

The iPA system calculates Traderank index based on the analysis of your trading activity over the last four trading weeks.

Example: an iPA-Manager has showed poor trading performance within a week, consequently, his/her Traderank decreased. After that, this Manager showed good results over the next three weeks, but because of the losses during the first trading week, which were taken into account by the iPA system, his/her Traderank index still did not correspond to the value achieved over the last three weeks. However, as soon as the fifth trading week came to an end, the first (unprofitable) week was not taken into account by the system anymore, so Traderank increased.

Hence, mistakes you make when trading in an iPA-Manager account are temporary setbacks that should be seen as an opportunity to improve your trading strategy and to constantly strive for top positions.

21. Can I get information about which of my trading signals were copied to the iPA-Investor account and how profitable they were?
Answer:

Such information is available in the account statements for each financial instrument of the iPA-Manager account using original strategy (Original account) and applying special algorithms of intelligent processing of iPA-Managers’ trading signals (Processed account).

You can view the account statements in the “Trading” section of your UBK Markets account on the “My Accounts” page.

22. What is the dynamic calculation of the maximum Stop Loss value?
Answer:

The dynamic calculation of the maximum Stop Loss value is a functional option implemented for the iPA-Manager account in iPro Marketplace trading and analytical platform. The Stop Loss level is set automatically when an iPA-Manager opens a trading position. The maximum Stop Loss value is calculated based on the analysis of market activity and potential risks related to determining possible points of entry into the market. The maximum Stop Loss value is calculated separately for each currency pair at the end of the trading week for the upcoming week. The calculation is dynamic as the data used for calculations vary within each trading week.

The Stop Loss setting cannot be cancelled; however, iPA-Managers can modify its value, but only in a downward direction from the maximum value set by the system.

23. What is a commission for the iPA-Manager account?
Answer:

The iPA-Manager account is non-nominal. At the same time, funds in the iPA-Investor account are real, and the commission is withdrawn from the iPA-Investor account for the use of his/her capital while executing trades. To avoid miscalculation of trading performance, the commission should be synchronized in the iPA-Manager and iPA-Investor accounts. Thus, for the iPA-Manager account, the commission is given in pips (16 pips) and corresponds to the money equivalent of the commission for the iPA-Investor account. The commission equivalent is withdrawn from the funds under management, i.e., from an iPA-Investor’s actual funds. However, the pips taken to execute a trading operation by an iPA-Manager are considered when calculating the financial result on each trade and influence the amount of total profit and, in its turn, the value of the Traderank index.

24. Why is the history of an iPA-Manager’s trading activity determined by the period of 90 trading days?
Answer:

The UBK Markets experts have carried out comprehensive analysis to determine the maximum period of an iPA-Manager’s trading history. This period constitutes 90 trading days. The analysis conducted was aimed at studying market dynamics, statistics of trade indices, frequency of strategy adjustment by an iPA-Manager and many other factors. The results obtained have shown that 90 trading days constitute the optimal period to evaluate an iPA-Manager’s trading strategy in detail and to the full extent.

Determining the maximum period of an iPA-Manager’s trading history, the Company relied on the principle that all Customers should receive equal opportunities to achieve good results and increase their competence.

Questions regarding the Practice Test

Next, you should provide the iPA-Manager's details (photo and nickname) to display them in the Long List of iPA-Managers. Once all specified conditions have been successfully fulfilled, the Company guarantees that the Customer will obtain the iPA-Manager status and the possibility to trade in the iPA-Manager account using the activated financial instruments.

3. What is the Practice Test of the iPA-Manager?
Answer:

Practice Test of the iPA-Manager is a set of special rules and conditions developed by the Company in order to provide each Customer with an opportunity to strengthen his/her own abilities and to achieve success while trading in the financial market and the Company will be able to ensure the mutually beneficial cooperation. The Practice Test allows the Company to assess the Customer's trading skills and to increase the efficiency of his/her trading activities by implementing the set of established rules.

Since the first trade has been made in any Customer’s Live account starting from 14.10.2017, the trading performance will be automatically calculated according to the Practice Test conditions of the iPA-Manager on each financial instrument separately. Once the Customer fulfills all the necessary Practice Test conditions, a certain financial instrument is activated for the iPA-Manager account and the Customer obtains the iPA-Manager status.

To pass the Practice Test, the Customer can use several Live accounts. If the Customer closes such a trading account until he/she obtains the iPA-Manager status, all his/her trading achievements on the financial instrument of the Practice Test are saved in the system. Thus, it is possible to resume the process of the Practice Test completion even after a certain period of time.

4. How to view the Practice Test results?
Answer:

Each Customer can view his/her results of the Practice Test completion on the “My Accounts” page in the “Trading” section of his/her UBK Markets account. The statistical information on the current level of progress is provided in the table “Activation of Trading Instrument for iPA-Manager Account” and is displayed only after the Customer executes the first trade in the Classic Live account. We would like to draw your attention that the level of the Practice Test completion on each financial instrument is shown in the table separately, regardless of which Live account has been used to conduct a trading operation.

5. What are the Practice Test conditions?
Answer:

To complete the Practice Test successfully, you should fulfill the following conditions:

  • execute at least 75 trades on a financial instrument; at least 55 of those trades or more should be profitable from 100 to 150 pips for each trade;
  • total amount of executed trades on a trading instrument should be at least 5 lots;
  • total amount of price change should be at least 8,000 pips on each trading instrument in each direction, regardless of their profit or loss ratio.

When all the conditions of the Practice Test are 100% fulfilled, the corresponding financial instrument will be automatically activated.

The progress level of the Practice Test completion is calculated as an average arithmetic value of the above-mentioned parameters.

6. Which financial instruments can be used to complete the Practice Test?
Answer:

The list of financial instruments available to complete the Practice Test is determined by trading conditions for the iPA-Manager account. The progress of the Practice Test completion is displayed in “My Account” on the official Company website taking into account trading performance on each financial instrument (currency pair) and on all Live accounts used for conducting trading operations.

7. What trading operations are taken into account while completing the Practice Test?
Answer:

When the Customer completes the Practice Test, trading operations executed in all Live accounts are taken into account on each financial instrument separately.
